Alternatif konut olarak ‘tiny house’ tasarım yaklaşımları ve Çatalca bölgesi örneği

Abstract

Antik Çağ’dan 21. yüzyıl ilk çeyreğine kadar geçen süreç içerisinde insanlar kendilerine ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda yaşamsal faaliyetlerini sürdürebilecekleri, kimi zaman zarfında da olumsuz zorlu iklim şartlarından korunacakları alanlar yaratmıştır. Zaman içerisinde sosyokültürel değişimler modern konut kavramının ortaya çıkmasında etkili olmuştur. Küreselleşen dünyada bireyin ihtiyaçları, yaşam alanlarından beklentileri ve yaşam tercihleri hızla değişmektedir. Bireysel, sade ve sürdürülebilir yaşam talepleri kullanıcılar için farklı yaklaşımlar ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu alternatif yaklaşımlardan biri olan ‘tiny house’, düşük maliyetli ev sahibi olma fikri ile tercih edilmeye başlanmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı; Türkiye’de ‘tiny house’ birimlerin, bir konut alternatifi olarak kullanılabilirliği ve tercih edilmesindeki sebepler neler olabilir sorularına cevap aramaktır. ‘Tiny house’ konusunun daha açık anlaşılması için öncelikle çalışmanın kavramsal çerçevesini oluşturan mobil konut, mikro konut tanımlarına ve konut kavramına değinilmiştir. Konuyla ilgili literatür taranarak ‘tiny house’ kavramının, ekonomik, sosyal, çevresel, teknolojik etkenleri kullanıcıya sunduğu alternatif yaşam biçimi ortaya koyulmuştur. Araştırmanın yöntemi, nitel yöntemlerden faydalanılarak betimsel durum analizi olarak tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmanın kapsamı; İstanbul Çatalca ilçesinde yapılan geniş ölçekli projeler görüşme tekniğiyle incelenmiştir. Hareketliliği, geçici konumu ve sürdürülebilirliği, incelenen çalışmalara dayanarak ‘tiny house’ yapılarını alternatif bir barınma seçeneği olarak uygun kılmaktadır. Yapılan araştırma ve görüşmeler sonucunda, Çatalca ilçesinin alternatif konut yerleşkesi projeleri için uygun olduğu görülmüştür. Kapsam dahilinde yer alan 3 yaşam alanı alternatiflerinin sürekli ya da kısa süreli barınma mekânı olarak kullanım potansiyelleri irdelenmiştir. İstanbul’da yaşayan bireylerin doğayla iç içe olmak için, sürekli veya kısa süreli tercih edebilecekleri geçici mekan çözümleriyle konaklamaya uygun olduğu görülmüştür. Bu yapılar, yüksek konut maliyetleri göz önüne alındığında düşük maliyetli tercih edilen bir alternatif olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

From the antique ages until the first quarter of the 21st century, people have created areas where they can continue their vital activities in line with their needs and sometimes be protected from adverse and harsh climatic conditions. Sociocultural changes over time have been influential on modern housing. In the globalizing world, the needs of the individual, their expectations from their living spaces and their life preferences are changing rapidly. Individual, simple and sustainable living demands have created different approaches for users. One of these alternative approaches, tiny houses, have started to be preferred with the idea of owning a low-cost home. The aim of this study is to seek answers to the questions of usability and preference of tiny house units as a housing alternative in Turkey. For a clearer understanding of the subject of tiny house, first of all, the definitions of mobile housing, micro-housing, and the concept of housing, which constitute the conceptual framework of the study, are mentioned. By scanning the literature on the subject, the alternative life style that the tiny house concept offers to the user with economic, social, environmental and technological factors have been revealed. The method of the research was preferred as descriptive situation analysis by using qualitative methods. The scope of the study; Large-scale projects in Istanbul's Çatalca district were examined by interview technique. Its mobility, temporary location and sustainability make ‘tiny house’ structures suitable as an alternative housing option based on the results studied. As a result of the research and interviews, it has been seen that Çatalca district is suitable for alternative housing settlement projects. The potential of the 3 living space alternatives included in the scope of use as permanent or short-term accommodation has been examined. It has been seen that these residences, which are suitable for accommodation with temporary space solutions for individuals living in Istanbul permanently or temporary to be intertwined with nature, are a better alternative considered high housing costs.
