Takım çalışması yöntemi ile öğrenme üzerine bir algı araştırması

Abstract

Takım bazlı öğrenme, takım çalışması ve eleştirel düşünme becerilerini geliştirme amaçlı bir aktif öğrenme stratejisidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, takım bazlı öğrenme yöntemiyle işlenen bir derse aktif olarak katılan, İstanbul'da yerleşik bir vakıf üniversitesinin işletme bölümü öğrencilerinin dersin işlenişi hakkındaki algılarını incelemektir. Bu amaç ile, üniversite öğrencilerine dönemin başında ve sonunda takım bazlı öğrenme hakkındaki fikirlerini soran bir anket uygulanmıştır. Öğrencilerin takım ortamında metin değerlendirme ve geliştirme, sunum yapma, kuramı olaya uyarlama, sınıfa bir konu sunma, öğrenci anlatımlı ders işleme yöntemleri hakkındaki fikirleri sorulmuştur. Sonuçlar göstermektedir ki, bir aktif öğrenme yöntemi olarak takım bazlı öğrenme, beceri kazandırmada etkili bir yöntemdir ve uygulamalar sonucunda öğrencilerin takım çalışması hakkındaki algıları değişmektedir. Bu çalışmanın sonuçları, sadece eğitim amaçlı kurumların değil işyerlerinin de takım üyelerinin verimlilik ve etkinliğini arttırmak için hangi yetenekleri ve yöntemleri geliştirmeleri gerektiği hakkında bilgi sağlamaya yöneliktir.

Team-based learning is an active learning strategy that aims to develop team work and critical thinking skills. The aim of this study is to analyze the perceptions of business administration students of a private university located in İstanbul who have been actively involved in an active team based learning course. With this aim; university students have been asked about their perceptions about team-based learning both in the beginning and at the end of the semester. Students have answered questions based on how they feel about having small team environment and student taught lectures. They were asked whether they have the abilities to evaulate text , develop a lecture, make a presentation , apply theory to a specific case and present a topic to the class. The results indicate that perceptions of students change about team work, they also develop skills required to work in small teams. The results of the study provide us information on how to develop new skills and methods to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of small-team members both for educational institutions and work organizations.
