Ülkemizdeki 4-5 yaş grubu çocuklara yönelik okuma ağacı kitapları tasarımı

Abstract

Günümüz iletişim çağında, çocukların öğrendiklerini tekrar eden ve (onları) edilgen bir konuma düşüren geleneksel eğitim anlayışının yapısı değişmektedir. Eğitim, cinsiyet, ırk, dil, din ve yaşam koşulları eşitsizliğinin dünyada hızla arttığı bu günlerde okuma yazmayı yeni öğrenen öğrencilerin evrensel değerlerden uzak kalmayacakları ama kendi toplumlarının sosyal-ekonomik ve kültürel değerleriyle de bir bağ kurabilecekleri nitelikli kitaplara ihtiyaçları somut bir gerçeklik olarak karşımızda Bu çalışmada; Oxford Reading Tree (Oxford Okuma Ağacı) “Biff, Chip and Kipper Classical Stories” adlı klasik hikaye seti, tasarım bakımdan incelenip, doğru ve yanlışlarının tespiti yapılmıştır. Bu doğru ve yanlışlar tasarım problemleri ve iyileştirilmesi bakımdan tanımlanmış olup, bu yolla seri kitap tasarımı yapılırken etkili bir çalışma modeli oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Karakter yaratma, hikaye oluşturma ve yazım aşamasından itibaren farklı disiplinlerden kişilerin ancak ortak çalışmalarıyla daha etkili bir çalışma modelin yaratılabileceği gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Türkçe Okuma Ağacı Kitaplarının 4-5 yaş grubuna göre tasarım ve görsel bakımdan incelenmesi 1) Metin Tasarımı, 2) Görsel Öğelerin Tasarımı, 3) Kapak Tasarımı, 4) Üretime Yönelik Dış Yapı Özellikleri aynı Oxford Okuma Ağacı modeli incelemesindeki gibi yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Türkçe Okuma Ağacı 4-5 yaş grubu, Seviye 1-2-3’e göre toplam 16 kitap tasarlanmış ve incelenmiştir. Ülkemizde okul öncesi çocuklar için henüz okumayı öğrenmede metodolojisi olan bir Türkçe Okuma Ağacı kitapları bulunmamaktadır. Bu nedenle tez çalışmasının amacı, görsel iletişim açısından nitelikli Türkçe Okuma Ağacı tasarımı üzerine araştırma ve uygulama çalışmasıyla, ülkemiz için bir model oluşturabilmektir.

In our age of communication, forms of traditional educational concepts and systems, which hold the child in a repetitive and passive position, are constantly changing. It is an indisputable fact that children who are beginners in learning to read and write need high standard books, books that will keep them within the scope of universal values, while encouraging them to form bonds with the socio-economic and cultural values of their societies. This dissertation aims to examine a classical set of stories titled Oxford Reading Tree “Biff, Chip and Kipper Classical Stories,” inspect its layout, bring out its pros and cons that are determined by design problems and their improvement. Another aim is to set up an efficient study model in designing scheme books. I have tried to show that an efficient study model can only be developed by the collective efforts of specialists from diverse disciplines in all stages, starting with the characters of the story, the formation and composition of the narrative. The examination of Turkish Reading Tree Books for 4-5 years olds through design and visualization norms is carried out much like the way it was done for Oxford Reading Tree, with the following criteria: 1) Text Design, 2) Devising Visual Elements, 3) Cover Design, 4) Outer Structure Features aimed at Production. In this study, a total of 16 books from the Turkish Reading Tree for 4-5 years old groups, stage 1-2-3, were designed and examined. It is our firm belief that in our country, there is a need for Turkish Reading Tree books with a methodology for pre-school children. This study claims to devise a model for Turkish pre-school children, by studying and implementing the design of a Turkish Reading Tree, with an emphasis on visual communication.
