Okul öncesi eğitimde dijital çocuk kitabı uygulamalarının görsel iletişim sorunları ve uygulama önerisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, dijital çocuk kitabı uygulamalarını okul öncesi eğitim sistemlerine uygulayarak eğitim materyali haline gelmelerini sağlamaktır. Kütüphanelerde basılı olarak bulunan çocuk kitaplarının dijital arşivlere aktarılmasıyla başlayan süreçte dijital çocuk kitabı uygulamalarının tarihi, özellikleri, erişilebilirliği incelerek basılı kitap formundan dijital uygulamalara geçiş süreci araştırılmıştır. Okul öncesi eğitimde kullanılan Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, Tools of the Mind eğitim sistemlerinin dijital çocuk kitabı uygulamalarıyla ses, resim, yazı, animasyon ve interaktif özellikleri incelenerek ortak noktaları belirlenmiştir. Dijital çocuk kitabı uygulamaları, okul öncesi dönemde çocukların bedensel, motor, sosyal, duygusal, zihinsel ve dil gelişimine destek sağlamaktadır. Deneyerek öğrenmenin temel olarak alındığı eğitim sistemleri çocuk kitabı uygulamalarıyla çocuğun eğitim sürecine dahil edilebilmektedir. Seçilen örnekle dijital çocuk kitabı uygulamaları boyut, tipografi, illüstrasyon, renk kullanımı, etkileşim özellikleri ve yönlendirme grafikleri gibi görsel iletişim tasarımı unsurları açısından incelenmiştir. Değerlendirme sonucunda ortaya çıkan verilerden yola çıkarak uygulama önerisi sunulmuştur.

The aim of this study is to implement the digital children's book applications into the education systems and make them an educational material. During the process, which started by the transfer of the printed children books in the libraries to digital archives, the history, features and accessibility of the digital children's book applications were examined and the transition process from the book form to digital applications was investigated. Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, Tools of the Mind educational systems used in the preschool education were compared with the digital children's books in terms of sound, picture, writing, animation and interactive properties and their common points have been identified. Digital children's book applications provide support to the physical, motor, social, emotional, mental and language development of children in the preschool period. The educational systems based on learning by experience can include the children in the education process through children's book applications. Digital children's book applications were investigated in terms of visual communication design elements such as size, typography, illustrator, use of color, interactivity and navigation graphics with the chosen sample. Application recommendations were presented based on the data arising from the evaluation results.
