Çağdaş Türk resminde 1980 sonrası mekan sorunu

Abstract

İnsanlar bir resmi gözlemlerken önce bütünü, daha sonra o bütünü oluşturan bağlantıların öğelerini görürler. Mekân, bu öğelerden biridir. Bu tez çalışması, bir resmi oluşturan öğelerin mekân içindeki rolleri ve birbirleri ile olan bağlantılarını değerlendirme düşüncesinden yola çıkarak oluşturulmuştur. Resim sanatı tarihini, mekânın ifade biçimindeki değişimlerin daha açık tabirle tercihlerin tarihi olarak değerlendirmek mümkündür. Bu çalışma kapsamında öncelikle mekân kavramı ve resim sanatında mekânın tanımı yapılmıştır. Çağdaş Türk resmine kadar gelinen dönemde, Rönesans’tan başlayarak resim sanatında mekân olgusunun dönem ve akıma göre değişimi, dünyada o günün şartları, sanatçıların bakış açıları, kültürel ve toplumsal değişimler, resimde mekânın hangi aşamalardan geçerek günümüze geldiği incelenerek ortaya konulmuştur. Dünyanın önde gelen sanatçılardan örnekler verilmiş ve bu örnekler; iç mekân, dış mekân, iç ve dış mekânın birlikte kullanımı başlıkları altındaki görseller üzerinden anlatılmıştır. Çağdaş Sanat 1950’lerde soyut dışavurumculuğun ortaya çıkması ile başlamıştır. Birçok sebepten dolayı Türkiye’de kabul görmesi ve yaygınlaşması 1980’li yılları bulmuştur. Bu nedenle 1950’den 1980’lere kadar gelinen dönemde çağdaş resmin Türkiye’de gecikme sebepleri anlatılmıştır. Türk resminin 1980’den günümüze kadar gelinen zaman dilimi araştırılmış, Türk sanatçıların kullandıkları resim üslupları, mekâna yaklaşım tarzlarına yer verilmiştir. Sanatçıların çalışmaları iç mekân, dış mekân, iç ve dış mekânın birlikte kullanımı başlıkları altında incelenmiştir. Çağdaş Türk resmi incelendiğinde dünya resim sanatı genelinde olduğu gibi tuvalde mekân yaratımı konusunda her biri farklı sanat anlayışlarının bir arada varlılarını devam ettirdikleri saptanmıştır. Bu tez çalışmasında aynı dönemde üretimde bulunan sanatçıların çok yönlü bakış açıları, oluşturdukları mekân resimleri üzerinden incelenmiştir.

When people observe a painting, they first see it as a whole. Then, they see the elements of the connections which make up that whole. Space is one of these elements. This thesis is based on the idea of evaluating the roles and inter-relations of the elements that form a painting in space. It is possible to evaluate the history of art painting as the history of preferences in the more explicit terms of the changes in the expression of the space. In this study, firstly, the concept of space has been explained and the definition of space has been made in terms of art painting. In the period up to Contemporary Turkish painting; starting from the Renaissance, the change of the space phenomenon according to the period and the trend, the conditions of that day in the world, the perspectives of the artists, cultural and social changes, and the stages which the space in painting has gone through and come to the present day, are examined. Examples are given from the world's leading artists and these examples are explained through visuals under the headings of interior, exterior, and interior and exterior use together. Contemporary Art began with the emergence of abstract expressionism in the 1950s. However, due to many reasons, its acceptance and widespread usage in Turkey has been found to take place in the 1980s. Therefore, the reasons for the delay of the contemporary painting in Turkey in the period from 1950 until 1980s, have been described. In this study, the time period of Turkish painting from 1980 to the present day, has been investigated and the painting styles used by Turkish artists and their approaches to space, have been included. The works of the artists are examined under the headings of interior space, exterior space, and the use of interior and exterior space together. When the contemporary Turkish painting is examined, it is determined that different art approaches continue to exist on the subject of creating space on canvas as in the art painting of the world. In this thesis, the versatile perspectives of the artists who took part in production during the same period, were examined through the space paintings they created.
