Enez kent merkezi ve kalesinin kültürel peyzaj açısından değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Farklı medeniyetlere ev sahipliği yapmış olan kentler, çoğu zaman bünyesinde barındırdıkları kültürel zenginlikleri muhafaza edememektedir. Kentlerin dokusu ve kimliğini oluşturan tarihi çevre ve kültürel değerler, rasyonel bir planlama kapsamında koruma kullanım dengesi ile gelecek nesillere bozulmamış şekilde aktarılamamaktadır. Tarihi çevre ile bütünleşik olan kültürel peyzaj kavramı planlama sürecine çoğu zaman dahil edilmemektedir. Enez kentinin sahip olduğu, tarih öncesinden günümüze ulaşmış kültürel miras hem Türkiye’de hem de uluslararası mecrada tanınmamaktadır. Bölgede mevcut olan eserlerin çoğu atıl durumda veya acil koruma müdahalesine ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Bu kapsamda hem eserlerin tarihi, mimari özellikleri ile güncel durumlarına dair incelemelerde bulunulmuş hem de bölgenin yavaşça değişen jeomorfolojik yapısının etkilediği kalenin tarih içerisindeki değişen yapısı incelenmiştir. Bu çalışma kapsamında kentin önemli simgesi olan Enez kalesi ve çevresinin; koruma ve kullanım dengesi gözetilerek kültürel peyzaj açısından değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Bölgenin sahip olduğu sorun ve potansiyeller incelenmiş ve analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler ışığında Enez kalesinin mevcut potansiyelinin korunup geliştirilmesine dair tasarım önerileri sunulmuştur.

Cities that hosted different civilizations often cannot preserve the cultural richness they posses. The historical environment and cultural values that forms the urban fabric and the identity of the cities cannot be pass on to the future generations intact while holding a proper balance of protection and use within the scope of a rational planning. The concept of cultural landscape, which is mostly intertwines with the historical environment, is not often included in the planning process. The cultural heritage which spans over prehistorical eras, is not well known both locally and internationally. Most of the historical buildings in the region is either stagnant or in need of emergent conservative intervention. In this context, a study was carried out covering both the history, architectural features and current state of the historical buildings and the structure of the Enez castle which is altered by slowly changing geomorphological structure of the region was mentioned. In this study, the Enez castle, which is the most important symbol of the city, and its surroundings have been evaluated in terms of cultural landscape meanwhile considering the balance of protection and use. The problems and potentials of the region have been examined and analyzed. In the light of the obtained data, design proposals for the preservation and development of the current potential of the Enez Castle were presented.
