In this project, we develop novel channel adaptive cooperation strategies for multiple access channels. We extend the traditional approaches to mutual user cooperation, which have merely focused on two user strategies, to three users. For a three user coopeative multiple access channel, we propose new channel adaptive user cooperation strategies, based on a non-trivial extension of block Markov superposition encoding. Our scheme allows the three users to simultaneously cooperate both in pairs, and collectively, by dividing the transmitted messages into sub-messages intended for each cooperating partner. The proposed encoding and decoding at the transmitters take into account the relative qualities of the cooperation links between the transmitters. We obtain and evaluate the achievable rate region based on our encoding strategy, and compare it with the achievable rates for the two user cooperative MAC. We demonstrate that the added diversity by the presence of the third user improves the region of achievable rates, and this improvement is especially significant as far as the sum rate of the system is concerned. We further extend our encoding/decoding policies to the three user multiple access channel with generalized feedback, of which the cooperative fading Gaussian channel is a special case. For the three user MAC-GF, we provide achievability results based on information theoretic codmg strategies. We also analyze resource allocation policies for the cooperative multiple access channels: for the two user cooperative MAC, we prove that the power controlled two user achievable rate region is a convex set, and hence the points on the achievable rate region boundary can be obtained by maximizing a weighted sum of rates. We find analytical solutions to the optimum power allocation problem. We obtain some key properties of optimum power allocation policies for a system employing the more practical and less delay prone window decoding, as opposed to backwards decoding. We show that, when optimum power allocation is employed, the sum rates achievable by window and backwards decoding are identical.

Bu projedeki amaç, bu zenginleştirme ve geri kazandırım işleminin dilin bürünsel özelliklerinden yararlanarak yapılmasıdır.; The text which the output of the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) system lacks especially punctuation, differences in the capitalization and the parameters related to the speaking such as stress, tone, pitch, pause cause some differences in the meaning. Enrichment of this output or another words to gain this features back to the output will provide either reading and understanding of the humans or processing of the machines easily. The aim of this project is doing this enrichment and the process of gaining back by using the prosodic features of the spoken language. In this proposal, we would like to examine the extraction and use of prosodic information in addition to lexical features for spoken language processing of Turkish. Specifically, we would like to research the use of prosodic features for sentence segmentation of Turkish speech. Another outcome of the project is to obtain a database of prosodic features at the word and morpheme level, which can be used for other purposes such as morphological disambiguation or word sense disambiguation. Turkish is an agglutinative language. Thus, the text should be analyzed morphologically in order to determine the root forms and the suffixes of the words before further analysis. In the framework of this project, we also would like to examine the interaction of prosodic features with morphological information. The role of sentence segmentation is to detect sentence boundaries in the stream of words provided by the ASR module for further downstream processing. This is helpful for various language processing tasks, such as parsing, machine translation and question answering. We formulate sentence segmentation as a binary classification task. For each position between two consecutive words the system must decide if the position marks a boundary between two sentences or if the two neighboring words belong to the same sentence. The sentence segmentation process is established by combining the Hidden Event Language Models (HELMs) with discriminative classification methods. The HELM takes into account the sequence of words and the output discriminative classification methods such as decision tree that is based on prosodic features such as pause durations. The new approach combines the HELMs for exploiting lexical information, with maximum entropy and boosting classifiers that tightly integrate lexical, as well as prosodic, speaker change and syntactic features. The boostingbased classifier alone performs better than all the other classification schemes. When combined with a hidden event language model the improvement is even more pronounced.

In this paper, explicit two-variable description of some classes of ladder networks of high-pass, bandpass and band-reject types are presented. Up to a certain complexity, for two-element kinds of these type regular structures, explicit expressions describing the twovariable scattering functions are obtained.

Bu çalışmada Uluslararası Deri Görüntüleme Birliği tarafından 2019 yılında yayınlanan ve 25000’den fazla dermoskopik deri görüntüsü içeren ISIC 2019 veri seti kullanılarak 4 çeşit (Melanom, Melanositik Nevüs, Bazal Hücreli Karsinom, İyi Huylu Keratoz) deri pigmentasyonu Evrişimsel Sinir Ağları yöntemi yardımıyla sınıflandırılmıştır. Sınıflandırma yapılırken InceptionV3 yapay sinir ağı mimarisi kullanılmıştır. Deri görüntülerine önişlem olarak Hilbert Dönüşümü ve Yüksek Boyutlu Model Gösterilimi uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre test verisi üzerinde Hilbert Dönüşümü uygulanmış görüntülerde Bazal Hücreli Karsinom hastalığının sınıflandırılmasında %89 başarı oranı elde edilmiştir. Yüksek Boyutlu Model Gösterilimi ile Kontrast Artırımı uygulanan görsellerde ise Melanomun sınıflandırılmasında %78 başarı oranı elde edilmiştir.; In this paper we classified 4 skin lesions (Melanoma,Melanocytic Nevus, Basal Cell Carcinoma, Benign keratosis) from ISIC 2019 dataset which was published by International Skin Imaging Collabration in 2019. We used InceptionV3 convolutional neural network model for classification. We applied two preprocessing methods: High Dimensional Model Representation (HDMR) and Hilbert Transform. In conclusion we obtained 89% accuracy on classification of Basal Cell Carcinoma using Hilbert Transform. Moreover, we obtained 78% accuracy on classification of Melanoma using Contrast Enhancement High Dimensional Model Representation (HDMR).
