Ön ergenlerin olumlu ve olumsuz mükemmeliyetçilik düzeylerinin mantıkdışı inançlar ve problem çözme becerisi ile ilişkisinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, iki boyutuyla incelenen mükemmeliyetçilik kavramının ergenlik döneminde ilk işaretlerini veren mantıkdışı inanç düzeyi ile problem çözme becerisi üzerindeki yordayıcı etkilerini incelemektir. 384 katılımcının bulunduğu bu araştırmanın örneklemini 11-15 yaş arası ilköğretim ikinci kademede öğrenim gören 6. 7. ve 8. Sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada katılımcıların problem çözme, mantıkdışı inançlar ve mükemmeliyetçilik düzeylerini değerlendirmek için sırasıyla; Olumlu ve Olumsuz Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği (OOMÖ), Ergenler için Mantıkdışı İnançlar Ölçeği (EMİÖ) ve Çocuklar için Problem Çözme Envanteri (ÇPÇE) kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca sosyo-demografik özelliklerin değerlendirilmesi için de Sosyodemografik Özellikler Veri Formu kullanılmıştır. Temel hipotezlerin analizinden elde edilen bulgulara göre; olumlu mükemmeliyetçiliğin ve olumsuz mükemmeliyetçiliğin mantıkdışı inançlar ve problem çözme becerisi üzerinde anlamlı bir yordayıcı etkiye sahip olduğu görülmüştür (p<.05).

The aim of this study is to examine the predictive effects of the concept of perfectionism, which is examined in two dimensions, on the level of irrational belief that gives its first signs during adolescence and problemsolving skills. The sample of this study, which includes 383 participants, is the 6th, 7th and 8th grade students studying at the second level of primary education between the ages of 11-15. In order to evaluate the participants’ problem solving, irrational beliefs and perfectionism levels, respectively; The Positive and Negative Perfectionism Scale (PNPS), the Irrational Beliefs Scale for Adolescents (EMES) and the Problem-Solving Inventory for Children (CPA) were used. In addition, the Sociodemographic Characteristics Data Form was used to evaluate sociodemographic characteristics. According to the findings obtained from the analysis of basic hypotheses; positive perfectionism and negative perfectionism have been found to have a significant predictive effect on irrational beliefs and problem-solving skills (p<.05).
