Birbirine benzemezlerin bir araya geldiği yer: Bir Başkadır

Temel malzemesi hareketli görüntü olan diziler ve filmler karakter ve karakterlerin başından geçen kurmaca öyküler inşa etmenin yanında, anlattığı öykülerle geçmişin ve bugünün arşivini tutar. Sinemanın geçmişle ve bugünle olan bu ilişkisi seyirciyi sadece edilgen olarak seyreden değil aynı zamanda gösteren / dile getiren, hatırlayan /hatırlatılan olarak bir biçimde yaşanılanlara tanık kılmaktadır. Geçmişten bugüne uzanan bu yolculukta ortak bir coğrafyada yaşayanların gerek yetiştirilme tarzları gerekse bireysel görüşleri sebebi ile birbirlerine ilişkin ön yargılı tavırları ayrışmanın temelini oluşturmaktadır. Birbirlerinin hayatlarına değmeden yan yana hayatlar yaşayanların yolları gün gelip kesiştiğinde anlaşılmanın ve anlamanın zorluğu ekseninde sessiz çatışmalar baş göstermektedir. Dijital platformların artışı ile birlikte yukarda sayılı özelliklere sahip diziler de göze çarpmaktadır. Çalışma boyunca, uluslararası dijital platform Netflix’te gösterilen yönetmenliğini Berkun Oya’nın üstlendiği Bir Başkadır (2020) yapımı üzerinden gündelik hayata ilişkin ilişkiler çerçevesinde birbirine benzemeyen karakterlerin çatışmalarının yer alış biçimleri incelenecektir. Çalışma sonucunda kimlik çatışmalarının ekseninde karakterlerin geçmişleri, yetiştikleri ortam ve bu bağlamda en çarpıcı biçimde modern muhafazakar ikileminin etkisi görülmüştür.

Cinema, which has features far beyond being an art of watching, takes the audience on a journey towards the past and present of the society with this feature. In this journey, sometimes the routines of daily life, sometimes the political past, and sometimes social events take place. This relationship of cinema with the past and the present makes the audience witness not only passively watching but also living in a way that shows / expresses, remembers / is reminded. In this journey from the past to the present, the prejudiced attitudes of those living in a common geography towards each other due to their upbringing and individual views form the basis of the separation. When the paths of those who live side by side without touching each other's lives intersect, silent conflicts arise on the axis of the difficulty of understanding and understanding. With the increase in digital platforms, the series with the above-mentioned features also stand out. Throughout the study, the ways in which the conflicts of dissimilar characters take place within the framework of daily life relations will be examined through the production of Bir Başkadır (2020) directed by Berkun Oya, which was screened on the international digital platform Netflix. As a result of the study, the past of the characters, the environment they grew up in, and in this context, the effect of the modern conservative dilemma in the most striking way was seen on the axis of identity conflicts.
