Özet
The design studios constitute the backbone of design disciplines' education such as architecture, interior architecture and industrial product design. The spatial organization of the studio environment in accordance with the pedagogical requirements of todays' design education has a great importance in terms of students' and tutors' performance. The instructional methods applied in design studios and the tools required for their application play a significant role in spatial organization of the studio environment. Developing and changing instructional methods and tools have brought a wide variety of use/space requirements in addition to "critique" environments required in traditional design studios. In this context, the aim of the study is to examine the instructional methods applied in today's design studios, to evaluate the effect of these methods on spatial organization of the studio environments and to discuss spatial solutions brought by changing requirements of todays' design studios with the help of design studio environment examples of leading architecture schools.
