Ev kadınlarında tükenmişliği yordamada eş desteği ve evlilik uyumunun rolü

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; eş desteği ve evlilik uyumunun ev kadınlarında tükenmişlik üzerindeki yordayıcı rolünün klinik olmayan bir örneklemle araştırılmasıdır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Türkiye’de yaşayan ve çalışmayan 20-80 yaş aralığında (Ort=43.22, SS=12.27) 390 ev kadını oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılara Sosyodemografik Bilgi ve Veri Formu, Ev Hanımlarında Tükenmişlik Ölçeği (EHTÖ), Eş Destek Ölçeği (EDÖ), ve Yenilenmiş Çift Uyum Ölçeği (YÇUÖ) online olarak sunulmuştur. Sosyodemografik değişkenlere yönelik betimleyici analizlere ek olarak, sosyodemografik değişkenlerin bağımlı değişken üzerindeki etkilerini incelemek amacıyla t-test ve ANOVA, araştırmanın hipotezlerini test etmek amacıyla korelasyon ve hiyerarşik çoklu regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre, sosyodemografik değişkenlerin ötesinde, eşten alınan duygusal destek ile maddi ve bilgi desteği ev kadınlarında tükenmişliği yordamazken, takdir desteği ve sosyal ilgi desteği tükenmişliği negatif yönde anlamlı bir şekilde yordamaktadır. Ayrıca, evlilikte doyum ve uzlaşım ev kadınlarında tükenmişliği yordamazken, çatışma alt boyutu tükenmişliği pozitif yönde ve anlamlı bir şekilde yordamaktadır. Buna göre, eşten alınan takdir desteği ve sosyal ilgi desteği arttıkça ev kadınlarında tükenmişlik azalırken, evlilikte çatışma arttıkça ev kadınlarında tükenmişlik artmaktadır. Araştırma bulgularının evlilik ilişkisi içerisinde ortaya çıkan ev kadınlarında tükenmişliğin değerlendirilmesinde ve tedavisinde, eş desteği ve evlilik uyumunun rolünün klinik uygulamalarda yol gösterici olması beklenmektedir.

The aim of this study is to investigate the predictive role of spousal support and marital adjustment on burnout in housewives with a non-clinical sample. The sample of the study consists of 390 housewives who do live in Turkey but not actively working women between the ages of 20-80 (M = 43.22, SD = 12.27). Sociodemographic Information and Data Form, Housewives Burnout Questionnaire (CUBAC) Spouse Support Scale (SSS), and Revised Dyadic Adjustment Scale (RDAS) were presented online to the participants. In addition to descriptive analyzes for sociodemographic variables, t-test and ANOVA were used to examine the effects of sociodemographic variables on the dependent variable, and correlation and hierarchical multiple regression analyzes were used to test the hypotheses of the research. According to findings of the study, while emotional support, instrumental and information support, do not predict burnout in housewives; the appraisal support and social companionship significantly and negatively predict burnout. In addition, while satisfaction and consensus sub-dimensions do not predict burnout in housewives, the conflict sub dimension predicts burnout and significantly and positively. Accordingly, as the appraisal and social companionship support received from the spouse increases, burnout in housewives decreases while conflict in marriage increases, burnout in housewives increases. The findings of the study are expected to guide clinical practice in considering the role of spousal support and marital adjustment in evulation and treatment of burnout in housewives emerging in a marriage relationship.
